2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Boasts 707 Horsepower

Dodge has dubbed its all-new 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat as the "most powerful sedan in the world." Power comes from a 6.2-liter HEMI engine which delivers 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.

The vehicle represents Chrysler's first application of V-8 supercharger technology, complete with a forged-steel crankshaft with induction hardened bearing surfaces. The V-8 has heat-treated aluminum alloy cylinder heads that allow for improved thermal conductivity. In addition, the Charger SRT Hellcat features the largest front brake package on any Chrysler vehicle, along with the all-new Challenger.

What does all this power translate to? The four-door model completes the quarter mile in just 11 seconds and has a top speed of 204 miles per hour. Its 0-100-0 mph time comes in under 13 seconds. Complementing its performance is an aggressive exterior. The aluminum hood features a dedicated "cold-air" intake, and on the sides, dual air extractors help remove heat and provide for an aggressive look. Blacked out accents on the front fascia and grille complete the menacing appearance.

At the back, the Charger SRT Hellcat features long LED tail lamps that run all the way across the back of the vehicle. Despite its sporty heritage, buyers don’t have to expect a bare-bones interior. Inside, look for a giant 8.4-inch touchscreen, Harmon Kardon audio system, improved seat cushioning, and heated and ventilated front performance seats.
